New York Times blogger Andrew Revkin mentions Larry Cathles' study finding that switching from coal to natural gas "reduces global warming by 40 percent of that which could be attained by the substitution of zero carbon energy sources.”  Reporting in his blog, Dot Earth, Revkin’s posting includes links to the Cathles study published in the peer-reviewed journal Geochemistry, Geophysics and Geosystems and the Cornell Chronicle.
