2016 Fellows Celebration

The Atkinson Center introduced 42 new faculty fellows at our annual networking celebration on August 25, bringing the total count of faculty fellows to 487.

John Fitzpatrick, Lab of Ornithology director, and Cornell provost Michael Kotlikoff welcomed the gathering of faculty fellows, research fellows, and Cornell deans and senior leadership. Atkinson Center director David M. Lodge then spoke of his enthusiasm for partnering with the rich research excellence at Cornell. He briefly outlined the broad diversity of the 2016 class of faculty fellows, who come from 33 departments across eight Cornell colleges/schools and pursue research in 40 countries on six continents.

Jazz entertainment was provided by Nick Weiser and Gabe Condon. The evening concluded with the selection of the annual caption contest winner.
