Wendy Wolford

Agriculture + Life Sciences / Global Development (PROF)

Wendy Wolford is Cornell’s vice provost for international affairs and the Robert A. and Ruth E. Polson Professor of Global Development in the Department of Global Development in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She serves on the Faculty Advisory Board of the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability. Her research draws upon and contributes to political economies of development, social movements and resistance, agrarian societies, political ecology, land use, land reform, and critical ethnography, all with a regional concentration in Latin America, particularly Brazil. From 2012-2016 Wolford was Cornell Atkinson Faculty Director for Economic Development.
