Fragile Legacy-The Blaschka’s Time Capsule of Marine Biodiversity

Science, art and history merge seamlessly in the fragile works of Leopold and Rudolph Blaschka, master glass artisans of the 19th century. The Blaschka glass art collection of 570 exact glass replicas was made 150 years ago. Drew Harvell’s talk describes and shows early footage of a film of the living representatives of the squids, octopus, jellyfish, sea slugs and other invertebrates in the collection.
