Shaun Doherty

Shaun Doherty is an experienced sustainability professional who has worked in the energy, technology, and international development spheres. He serves as Cornell Atkinson Center’s Energy Transition and Carbon Management Partnerships Lead.

In this role, Shaun actively collaborates with Cornell researchers and external private and public entities to establish partnerships that translate energy transition and carbon management concepts from academia into real-world impact. In order to do this Shaun works closely with Cornell’s renowned faculty in areas such as solar, wind, hydrogen, energy storage, carbon capture utilization & storage (CCUS), methane reduction, grid integration, and others.

Prior to joining Cornell Atkinson Center, Shaun was the principal ESG advisor for supply chain at Chevron. In this role, he played a key role in developing Chevron’s supply chain ESG strategies for carbon management, localization of manufacturing, circular economy, human rights, and others. Before Chevron Shaun worked as a supply chain consultant for IBM and operated enterprise development centers for USAID and NGOs in Central Asia and Angola.
