Valentina Rubio, Ph.D. Candidate
Attending Week 2
Valentina Rubio is a Ph.D. candidate in Soil and Crops, at Cornell University. She is a Fulbright Scholar from Uruguay, and she will participate in COP27 as part of her country’s delegation. Valentina has a Master’s in Soil science, and a bachelor’s in Agronomy from the University of La República del Uruguay. She has a broad experience in extension and research in crop and beef production systems, working on integrated systems analysis, soil conservation and management, soil C dynamics, and C modeling. She is currently working on understanding the connections between management practices, soil health, and ecosystem services at the farm and regional scales.
