Matching Cornell Expertise With External Organizations

Cornell Atkinson’s working groups are the key connector between Cornell’s deep and broad knowledge base and external experts, innovators, theorists, practitioners, government, business leaders and philanthropists committed to delivering large-scale, long-term sustainability solutions.

The working groups seek to creatively match Cornell’s extensive expertise with diverse organizations to identify critical research needs and opportunities for effective partnership in six areas: Increasing Food Security, Reducing Climate Risks, Accelerating Energy Transitions, Advancing One Health, the Social Cost of Water Pollution, and Conservation Finance.

The working groups leverage a variety of resources, including research funding, small grants programs, postdoctoral fellowships, and student internships to transform policies, practices, and products.
